In 2025, the Australian New Zealand Association of Theological Studies ANZATS will hold a joint conference with the Australasian Centre for Wesleyan Research and the Christian Research Association. This year’s conference is in Melbourne, July 1-3. This is a valuable opportunity to catch up with other Australian and New Zealand scholars and teachers. The central theme is Remembering Nicea: A Contested Legacy 2025, which marks the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, the first ecumenical Christian council, held from May to July 325 CE. This meeting of bishops discussed issues such as the nature of Jesus’ divinity and humanity, the dating of Easter, and the construction of the first part of the Nicene Creed. Many other streams will also be running, including, Bible, History, Education, and Missions. Registrations Open on the 1st of March.
