Congratulations to Mark Lindsay on the publication of – The Doctrine of Election Through Christian History. Mark Lindsay is Joan F. W. Munro Professor of Historical Theology at Trinity and the University of Divinity in Melbourne. Rev Professor Mark Lindsay is also the President of ANZATS. On this journey through the Bible and church history, readers will discover how Christians have understood the affirmation that God has chosen. After exploring Scripture on the Christian doctrine of election theme, Lindsay turns to the various articulations of this doctrine from the early church fathers, including Augustine, and medieval theologians such as Aquinas, to the debate between Calvinists and Arminians, Karl Barth’s modern reconception of the doctrine, and reflections on election in the shadow of the Holocaust.
